|  CD's wont play - Help
This is odd, i put any audio cd into the drive, the disk spins up as usuall. The track names appear in WMP and WinAmp, but then i click play and nothing happens, it won't play the track. It's not that im not just getting any sound, the track doesn't physically play.
Any ideas ?
edit: It won't play music stored on my PC either.
edit2: this gets odder by the minute, YouTube videos won't play past 2 seconds either.

This is the same computer with the card that was giving you interference issues??

Yes - after 5 reboots it went away.
But then, i decided i wanted more than 60fps on CSS so i had to trun V Sync off. And oh deer, whenever i laucnh the game now theres a terrible humming (like a fly, as loud as one too) and the tone changes depending on what option in the menu i click on.
It's really ****ing me off now, sorry for the profanity but it's driving me insaine.

I would say that most likely, the card is crapping out on you.
You have another card right?
Install it and try to reproduce all the same problems you are having now. If you cant, then youve isolated the problem to being a defective card.
You may have corrupt drivers as well, that could be another thing to look into to.

There creative drivers.. it's quite possible that there screwed. But then the original drivers i had were just as bad as the new ones. and yes, it is the card my SB Live is better.

I have no problems with my X-FI, no driver issues or anything.

Bought it online, not sure whether they accept returns now.
I'm selling a camera for around £200. I might spend £200 on a nice card and balanced cables, reccomendations ?
All i want is NO INTERFERENCE !!! Good compatibility with games (well, just CSS) and obviously sound quality above all else.
Now only my XLR inputs are balanced so it would preferabley need XLR balanced out.
