Default Blu-ray and surround sound

I am starting to build my home theatre and I was wondering if anyone knew of some good sites that will give information regarding the purchase of a blue-ray player and what specs I need to look at.

Best Blu-Ray player hands down would be the PS3.

Why??

You dont have to use the PS3 to game...just use it as a movie player.
