whats some good program to use to rip dvds to xvid ive used handbrake im looking other options..what do scene groups use to rip?..any other recommendations please post what you think is good

It has always been illegal from day 1 as long as there is some type of encryption on the disk.
As for a disk that you made like say home movies etc its totally legal

From what I recall, making backups of DVDs you own have just been in a gray area of the law, but until recently it wasn't necessarily illegal.
