128, 160, 192, 256, or 320?

First of all, what do you intend on doing with it?


The higher the better but honestly 128 is considered cd quality....

It depends on how much memory you want to take up and what you intend to do with the music. A bitrate of 320 will be about twice the size as that of a 128, but if it's just for home listening, stay between 128 and 192, if you go higher, you will suck your memory dry.

Don't waste your time on anything more than 128. 128 does a very good job. Anything more makes you consume more space, and won't really see much difference in sound quality.
