| Hello. I was wondering if it possible to take my audio from my TV to computer. My TV is a symphonic and it has the headphone jack on the front of the TV and then I checked my computer and im pretty sure it has an audio in. Here's my motherboard specs site ASUSTeK Computer Inc. On the back of my computer, there is a Blue Input which I think is for audio in. Im going to buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm (male to male) audio cable so I can get them both hooked up from TV to Computer. Just wondering if this will work and if I need any extra hardware or software? Let me know please, Thanks!

| Yes with a line-in cable it works, and you can record the sound too... As for the software, its up to you I guess...any works....someone suggested Audacity..even the simple windows sound recorder works...(you'll have to change the 'recording' settings to 'line in' instead of 'mic' thou) Gluck

| Thanks for the responses. Yes, I do already have audacity. So when I have something playing on the TV and I hook it up to my computer, it will automatically start playing it over my speakers or what? Thanks!

| Ok, so I got the Cable today. I connected it to my headphone port on my TV and then to the line in on the back of the computer. I can hear the sound from the TV, but it sounds really static and I adjusted the cables and it still sounds the same. Any suggestions on this? Thanks!
