Default Audio mixing... (voice removal)

Is there any software out that isn't too costly that I can download that is able to remove the voice from the track? Also, I would like to know a few audio editors and audio related software? Thanks, Jeremiah.

There isn't any GOOD way of doing it unless you have the original tracking tapes (which costs more than your house and cars combined to get a hold of).

You can try voice-removal plugins such as the one from analogX (google it). But, since these are only equalizers, it will affect the whole song and it will make it sound terrible. Try it and see if it will work for you. Most likely, you wont like the result.

it is impossible to take out only the voice from mixed source and still retain the original quality. if there is, whats the point of multi track recording? its actually easier to get original reel than you think. just get a job at some major recording studios. there are always major artist's reels just lying around. usually not much ppl wants to take care of 200lb of reels after the record is already done and out for a while. im NOT suggesting you to steal... im just saying you can see multi track tapes fairly easily. BUT whats hard to get is 2 track 1/2"s. because they are light so client always takes them. but anyway, ive heard of there is a way to make any stereo sound go away from mixed 2trk source though. its a mastering technique. using the concept of MS (mid, side)----> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microph...ing_techniques
mono sound source stays intact but any stereo sound (like reverb effect) disappears. i forgot the detail...some famous recording engineer told me this... before it gets too technical, i think you should try taking out just strawberry from your smoothies. it might be easier than taking out vocal from music.

I've tried this with audacity. Of course it doesn't work great but it sometimes removes some of the vocals. The background music is also affected and stuff, anyway try it:
