Baez, it was still there but maybe a little bit less than other times

Would it take more than 10 mins to clear all the power/memory from the speakers?

You could try longer but it might not have an effect. The audio controller itself could be the problem in which there is no way to fix it other than to return that motherboard for a new one.

since its an onboard one, would installing a new soundcard maybe fix the problem?

Yes a new soundcard will fix the problem no doubt as long as it isn't the speakers that are the problem.

When i install a new soundcard do i have to disable the onboard (in bios) or is it ok to just install and use the new sound card

plug your speaker into something else to eliminate them as being the cause
