Default All Codec's

I'm putting together a new system tomorrow, and I don't wanna be left in the dirt when it comes to codecs. The system has nother special. Onboard audio + 5.1 logitech surround sound.

Can anyone give me a list or program installer to use for all my basic audio and video codec needs?

Thank You.
