eric b where do you buy your supplies for boxes? do you use mdf? how thick?

and is that box tuned to 27hz? dont you think thats kind of low?

I got a connection with a company that build houses. I got 3/4 MDF (speakers) and birch wood for amazing low prices (mostly free). if the wood has a scratch or dirt on it, the company throws it away. those are the one that I get for free

the box is tune to 27 hz but the f3 spot is 63hz. it will give you extended bass

just a heads up for anyone that is interested in making boxes, WinISD has a free version (google it).


mmmm i love birch for speaker enclosures. specifically, larger ones like a bass guitar cab or a floor-standing speaker.

we have made big screen tv stereo console enclosures with birch wood, but I was planning on trying it for speakers enclosures next year
