Default Laptop CPU HSF

I pulled this out of an old HP laptop that was given to me for parts. I was more or less wondering what kind of potential does this have for my desktop? I'm all about reusing old parts for new uses. I was thinking about bending the heatpipes and making some fins to attach to them and using it as a GPU cooler or something of the sort. any thoughts?
It's just too awesome looking to get rid of

Little to none. Unless the processor that was in the laptop had a high TDP, it probably does have enough area to properly disperse the heat.
