Default Help for decent software for CPU fan

hi guys

i was wondering if you guys know any good software for controlling my CPU fan
after recenlty getting a new heatsink as my other one screwed itsell over
sorry for the lame question but on my other heatsink i didnt need a fan
any thanks would be greatly appreciated

Hi TJC
Best to control the CPU fan speed through BIOS, and setting it to certain %ages for certain temps. I know you can do this as you have the same mobo as me What heatsink did you get btw?

And software-wise you can always use SpeedFan, IIRC.

Hi lol
i got freezer 7 pro wanted a reasonably cheap one as a quick replacement
and ye i know i can do it in BIOS but i would prefer to have control from being on the desktop

yes there is softare for that, but most of it is motherboard specfic. so you will have to see if your mobo maker has any kind of software that does that. gigabyte has some thing called Easy tune 6 that controls fan speed.
