Default Visual Basic

I've been noticing that there have been more questions in here lately about VB than about any other language. A lot of people think VB isn't even a programming language, but is it gaining popularity? I would think that if you just want to make a living making pretty simple commercial applications all you'd need to know is VB.

Just wondering.

VB just seems too flaky for me, and i don't even make commercial software, they just now added console application to the 2005 version of VB. It's still a programming language, just a shady one.

With VB and SQL you may be able to fight and win the battle, but only on a technicality. Not by skill.

I haven't seen V.B being used for serious applications at all.. But yeah.. It IS a programming language nonetheless ..

It's used a ton in business applications for internal use at companies. It's not used much in commercial applications though.
