Some games are made in C++, and more and more games are using some C++. But the majority of games are written in C. That is why it such a head-turner when Quake III was made in pure C++.

"You know this how?" because i talk to game developers all the time and i have been reading plenty of books on game development lately. I have a serious game developer in one of my programming classes as well and we talk all the time.

You'd use DirectX or OpenGL most likely as the library to make games.

gab00n:
Bull. I have tons of books about game design written for C# developers, that doesn't mean that games are written in C#. You talk to "serious game developers" who do they work for? This game developer in your class, how old is he, and where does he work?

Just because some people ( like your friends ) like to make games using C++ doesn't mean commercial companies do. I make games using C#, that doesn't mean commercial companies do. So unless you know a lot developers for known commercial gaming companies, don't say you know how it's done.

I'm getting tired of having to argue with you about absolutely everything. You think what you want and i will think what i want, that way we are both correct.

Well if people would stop just blurting out oppinions as facts we wouldn't have a problem. And no, we won't both be correct. I'll let you think what you want, and I'll think what I want. But only one of us will be correct

ps. you never told me who they work for.
