Default Starting off

So im a tiny bit familiar with programming in general, spent a semester of school learning java...found im not a huge fan of capabilities, however i might not have given it a proper run. Anyways, i am interested in learning C++...does anyone have any suggestions for a really good book to start off learning C++...would be greatly appreciated

C++ for Dummies is actually a great book. For online help go to cplusplus.com - The C++ Resources Network

A lot of great resources available for C++.
