Hello, I just recently installed a new firewall, smoothwall, to replace the old version of wingate we had. Everything seems to work great except a program we use that connects to the local SQL server through Microsoft Access. The program will work for a while then gives a "cannot generate SSPI context" error. When i switch the firewall back to the old wingate firewall it works fine. Any ideas on what the firewall could be doing that could cause this problem. smoothwall also acts as the DHCP server.

How to troubleshoot the "Cannot generate SSPI context" error message

The "Cannot generate SSPI context" error is generated when SSPI uses Kerberos to delegate over TCP/IP and Kerberos cannot complete the necessary operations to successfully delegate the user security token to the destination computer that is running SQL Server.
