Hello all . . .
designing a company intranet site . . .
something that I would like to implement -
when users call into our helpdesk the first questions our techs ask them is "what is the name of your system" so they can remotely assist them . . . sometimes the computers are not labeled and the tech will have to step them through right clicking on my computer, properties . . .etc . . .
anyway, I would like to place a button on the front page of the website that when pressed extracts the computer name, ip address, and user name that is logged on. . . then that info would be automatically emailed to the helpdesk.
any ideas as to how I would implement this?
I am developing the site using NetObjects (the freeware download)
