Ok so Ive developed a program that NO ONE else has done with any success that im aware of. Its a medical related program designed to report vaccine usage by Drs offices to New York City Dept of Health.

Which is mandatory. Not only does it automate the process it also comes with some nifty features that aid in ordering vaccines...

Anyway Im looking to sell this app, and Im wondering if I should venture out on my own and basically go door to door @ Drs offices, or if I should try to get intouch with someone from the city who works in this particular area, or if I should sell it to a 3rd party for them to resell with their Medical billing app.

What do you all suggest? If you suggest I sell it to the 3rd party company for them to resell should I request to right to keep my code as my code. I mean.. should I sell a finished .exe or my code.

This app has the potential to be used in every Drs office in the entire city of NY how the heck do I figure out how much $ I should be looking for?

Get in the phone book and call them, try to set up appointments to demonstrate your program. 30$ an exe. make a cool installer if you havent already.

If that dont work then sell it to a 3rd party, but dont give them the code, just make a deal to sell them a certain amount, another thing is how will you know the 3rd party wont make copies of your exe.

I'd suggest trying to find a publisher. That may help a ton. I'd also suggest selling for WAY more than 30$ an exe because these are companies, no one sells for that low unless your program is a piece of crap. But a publisher is your best bet, I'd look that up first.

i have to ask, how did you develop that program without express authority from the department of health? How do oyu have any idea of the types of things that would need to be sent, or where to send them to for that matter..

Wouldnt a set-up like this need to be contracted BY the department of health? How do you know there is any need for this program??

I was wondering the same things, I was just too lazy to ask. I'm simply wondering because my Dad works in that industry, so it made me more currious.

You should post a screen shot of your program, just curious of how well you've designed it, GUI wise.
