As a christmas gift for a friend I want to make a screensaver, burn it to a disk and make it an EXE.

Has anyone done this? Can anyone provide any advice? I just want the screensaver to be a series of randomly fading in an out images on a black background.

There are thousands of free screensaver makers.
You can also use ACDSee Foto Angelo to make a simple screensaver (its not free though, but maybe the trial works fine too)
