Default quick total n00b question

this is a super fast easy question... i think

i downloaded a "program" that is archived. I unziped/unrared/ w/e and i have a bunch of c header files and c files. I have seen this before, but i never figured out how to compile them or do whatever i have to do to get it to work.

if it matters, the file is below

http://superb-west.dl.sourceforge.ne...rpc-0.4.tar.gz

thanks!

erm.. ask the project?

i would assume any project that's not half baked would at least have a INSTALL file in the zip you downloaded.. It also depends on your machine, on unix, it would be pretty easy if they have a make file, on windows it's a big harder unless they packaged it into visual projects (i actually never compiled any external project on windows, please excuse my ignorance..)
