Default Python Awareness

I'm a brand new programmer!

I'm very excited to become very frustrated with the difficulty I will definitely
face...

Has anyone every heard of the programming language called python?

Would you recommend it?

Python works well, it's good for creating GUI's and interfacing with other programs/devices.

The code syntax is fairly logical, at least I found it okay. What kind of programs are you planning to write?
In any case Python is a good enough language to start programming with. It's not too hard, and you can achieve quite a lot with only a bit of code.

I don't like python because a) interpreted languages are annoying when you don't control the machine b) python depends on line breaks and indentation as parts of the syntax, they say that this means that all code is laid out consistently but in my eyes enforcing this as compulsory is a limitation, not a feature.
