ok... I posted this thread because I need help. I want to protect the images of my website.

Does anyone know:
- how to disable drag 'n' drop / Ctrl+c ... ctrl+v / right click for most browsers?
- how to keep the images from saving in the cache? (someone told me this could be done with flash)
- how to disable print screen or at least make it not work correctly? (using css maybe or by putting a blank image on top and make the browser display it but not the print screen )

hope someone can help 'cause this is not only important for me but for everyone,

they must be some pretty **** good images....

there's always a way around things....for this you'd have to cross develop from each browswer...i know you can disable right clicking and stuff through javascript, and if you put your images all as flash, they'd have to do a lot of work to save it...

then if you disable print screen option, it may work fine in windows...but linux or mac people may be able to still grab it...

i don't know, but i thing that's a lot of work to protect images...are these like photoshop creations or photography or something?

if you use php and have the gd libarires installed you can plaster a big copyright 2004 to me over all images that you want...

it may be done, but i think that it would be to hard to work around every browser & os there is

shan, its not a great masterpiece... lol. its just our clan fotos. i dont want people stealing the images ( and then drawing two horns on my head or anything else) and then printting those images, take them to school and post then on the walls, and then I pass by and say... omg thats me over there. you understand ... im only 16 and in highschool people REALLY like to make fun of each other...

TheMajor, its not possible. i used css (if your browser doenst support it, it will simply not show). but u can still PrintScreen and look in the browser cache.

i would like to know how it would work. I am wondering how a css could keep a pic from being saved in a screenshot.

i said u cant copy-paste, but you can still take screenshots. thats why i want a solution.

what if I save the img as flash. and if someone presses the printscreen button the image will turn black for 1/2 second. i dont know actionscript can anyone assist??
