1. What programming/scripting languages can you program with? (please list all)
2. What programming/scripting languages do you want to learn in the future?
3. What's the first programming/scripting language that you learned?
4. how/where did you learn it? (high school, college, leisure)
5. Why did you choose to learn that language?
6. What language do you mostly use now?
7. Where/what do you mainly use programming for? (work, school)
8. What is your favorite language so far?
9. If you would teach a newb to program, what language would you

| 1. html, css, vbscript, javascript, c, php, transact-sql, classic asp, ti-83 calculator lang
2. c#, java, asp.net
3. prolly html, in HS. Also in HS, i read a bunch of java books but couldnt get a good grasp on it. then i took a college course on c and data structures.
4. HS, college, post college (for work)
5. html as a kid cus it was easy and a way to express myself online. C because it was a part of the curriculum. vbscript because it makes automating administrative tasks easy and because a program at work implements vbscript. Transact-sql because a program at work runs off a sql db. Classic asp to run reports on data inside a db. PHP to manipulate data in a db. TI-83 cus i downloaded some progs for the calc and wanted to hack them
6. vbscript for work and implemented in classic asp.
7. work. im currently not in school
8. vbscript in classic asp for interaction with dbs
9. C cus that gave me the best info on how to write code. But i was taught by a teacher at college |

C#, Perl, assembly

HTMl - or PHP, if HTML doesn't count

self-study/took a college class after self-studying it
5. Why did you choose to learn that language?
wanted to make a better Harry Potter site
6. What language do you mostly use now?
Java, PHP
7. Where/what do you mainly use programming for? (work, school)
um... just for fun? and for science fair projects and stuff
8. What is your favorite language so far?
Java or C++
9. If you would teach a newb to program, what language would you
teach him/her? why?
first HTML, then C or PHP

2. None
3. Java is the first language i learned properly, although i had played around with many others before but wouldn't have considered myself proficient in them
4. university
5. It was what was taught
6. C
7. work & university
8. C# was fun to use - it took the good bits of java and the good bits of C and put them together.
9. Would really depend, one of the big ones though, perhaps C/C++ or maybe Java - it would have to be platform independant though |

(these are the languages I have programmed in the past.)

Nothing yet as of now. But I am sure I will in the future.
3. First languagage = QBASIC

Grade 7 = middle school
5. Why did you choose to learn that language?
It came with DOS.

C and assembly
