Default Is this possible.

is it possible to password protect a folder using a language (preferably using c++ or visual basic)?

and if it is could you point me in the right direction (please)

btw before anyone tells me to do so ive already had a look arround google but to no avail.

sure, but the easiest way would be to use the language your programming in to call another app to do it, like pgp for example---------or, take a look at the opensource version of pgp and rewrite it to do what you want

actual implemenation is not possible.
But u can simulator it into a single protected file
first u have to extract all the details from the folder and add it to the file and encrypt it using a password
or just set the password in somepoint of the file without encryption
