Hi ive been intending to learn php for a while now and was thinking about buying a book. i already have a good understanding of html so does anybody know which book i should get??? thanks.

PHP Programming [ O'Rielly publications ]

Oh and go to places like:

http://www.phpfreaks.com
http://www.php.net

and read some of the tutorials etc.

Best way is to just get out there and start playing around with it. I would suggest you look into SQL aswell seeing as PHP & SQL go so well together.

also www.hotscripts.com has tonnes of free scripts you can download and look at their code... they can be a great reference on how to do things.
