Default Own OS

This is the closest Forum I could find about creating your own OS. Is it possible with a 14yrs mind, 8yrs of playing with comps and lots of book on certain topics?

Sure it's possible, but don't expect it to be anything like windows or any other gui os. Be sure you know LOTS and LOTS of assembly and C. As for links on the topic, I'm sorry but I don't know any.

what you might be better off to start with is to create lots of small programs. then try to join them together and turn them into an OS, but be prepared for hours and hours of programming. and lots of coffee Good Luck though.

Making an OS isn't easy, but it's not something you can't do if you have the right know-how and time. You can get a simple TUI and a file system together, and configure the system to run drivers and hardware. Getting things to function like Windows, MacOSX, or even Linux, is something that will take a lot of time and blood, though.
