does anyone kno how to open the disk drives using html (anything but javascript)and as a batch file. i am new to this stuff and i want 2 practice making websites and the command prompt. if it helps i got windows xp and IE 6. thanks alot

HTML is a mark-up language, not a programming language. As such, it is useful for structuring text, images, and the like, which makes it a good choice for webpages. You'll need to learn a programming language if you want to read/write files on the hard drive.

html is not dynamic it is static you cant do anything with it besides make websites look good the way you make a webpage dynamic is by using javascript, asp .net, or php. you wont be able to open a disk drive using html and there is no dos command to open it eather. you will need to learn a language like c++ or java to do that.
