Default Open/Save a File

I need to write a function that will list the file names on a share on my server, and allow me to save a file from the server to my pc. I can upload files.. I need to download them as well. Anyone have any ideas?

We are doing it this way cause the person that wants the files is out in Colorado, and the facility hosting it is in Indiana.. But I got it all figured out... Thanks

Ok so I guess I don't have it figured out.. What I need to be able to do is once authenticated, have a redirect to a directory where they will be able to click on a file and download it.
