I'm about to get out of school for the summer and I'm needing a summer project. I have chosen to learn C++, I'm new to programming and will need a simple book. I have chosen a few books to get, but I need a decent beginning book to get me started. I need a book that competently explains basic commands. I appreciate any recommendations in advance.

D.S. Malik
Thats what we are using and explains everything.
