I am hoping someone here can help me.
I need help from somebody who understands how Sony Playstation2 P2P online gaming works. I have a Netgear WPN824 router. I have my Playstation2 connected to the router. Sony utilizes P2P online gaming as well as VoIP. The problem is that if I am in a room with let's say 20 people and one paticular person comes in the voice chat doesn't work. We seem to be the only two people affected. I have all the proper ports forwarded and even have tried using DMZ. My question to the forum is this.....
How does P2P programming (hopefully someone knows how Sony does it) transmit information to each "node"? The only thing I can think of is that my router has a function that doesn't allow pinging. When a node joins P2P does it need to receive a ping? Is there some other circumstance that may be preventing my console from receiving the appopriate information?
