Default Ms-dos source code

Is there any way to view the source code of a ms-dos program?

I would think most likly no. Microsoft owns dos and all there stuff is closed souce. there no legal way to get the code.

If you want to learn how to make a OS then take a look at linux code. It is completly open souce and you can down load the code easily.

that depends on who makes it, and if they are distributing the source.

ive never decompiled any code before, but from what i read, you decompile to machine code aka assembly. Personally, I woudl think it would be a tough task to go through all that code.

If you are skilled, then you can. There are guides on how to turn ASM back into C++. But you need extensive knowledge on both.

Ther is Free DOS that is Open Source DOS. That has a DOS code. Umm one question. What is dos written in? I was told that It was written in BASIC, and I am pretty sure that it is true.
