I've got two php templates for a web page i have to make, and I can't run either of them.

I need to chmod all php files etc, but i'm running a windows server, so I can't chmod. - thus i can't run setup.php

i've tred phpbb and phpfusion.

I need one that I can use on a windows server.

Any ideas?

erm.. what are you talking about? i use phpbb before on my staging server with was a windows xp, and it worked fine

bah u novice programmers, u need to code the sites urself, like i do lol

just change file restrictions on it.. but it should not be a problem anyways, just ur server isnt setup correctly. If u do not know wat ur doing, dont install mysql and php separately, just isntalla xampp or easyphp (i like xampp better) which includes all u need to get up and running. Server configuration is that hardest part.

Since you are windows you don't need to chdmod anything. Your poblem is not with file permissions.

grrrr, i'm not novice, i just didn't know why IIS wouldn't convert chmod command to the equivalent in the ntfs system.
