Default Macromedia is looking for advisors

I work for Macromedia and we are looking to form advisory groups to better understand the needs of developers and inform future product development. Those participating will have direct contact with us and other advisory board members and be provided with free Macromedia software. If you are interested in participating, please complete an application found at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=49439324658. We are looking for developers that have never used Macromedia products and those that have, and developers from a wide variety of backgrounds and disciplines.

Thanks!

Default fair enough

Yep. I should have probably posted this in the programmer's section. We are looking in particular for people building corporate or web applications either inside companies or for-hire.

Thanks!

Also, I realize that my post may set off alarm bells with people thinking it is not legit. So if you have doubts but are interested in maybe participating, send me an email at macromedia. My address is gstern. It won't bounce and I will reply so you can see I really work here.

Thanks to everyone that is completing the questionaire!

Default why we are doing this

Hi-

We do have a very active user community as well as many customer advisory groups that we use to validate our product planning. The point of this exercise was to find developers that do NOT traditionally use our products, which is why we put postings like this one on a number of different discussion groups.

The response has been excellent with about 700 applications to -date. From those application we have already formed 2 advisory groups and are looking to do at least three more.

As for using SurveyMonkey to host the applications (surveys), we always use third party survey systems. Most companies do. They are inexpensive to use and effective for the job at hand.
