Default Looking to get into Programming Emulator's.

Hey All

Im Looking to get into Programmign Emulators. What do I need to know? How shall I start? I am all out of questions, If i have any other questions I will post some more.

What exactly is it you want to emulate? OSs, gaming consoles?

Keep in mind we have strict rules regarding the latter.

also there is emulators in vs 2005 for programming mobile deivces

From here. But it depends on what you're emulating. For example, emulating the OS that the DS uses would be legal (AFAIK), but d/loading games for it and using them would. However making your own VM wouldn't be illegal.
At least, that's the way I understand it.
