Default learning C++

the degree I am currently doing is only just teaching us the psedocode part of programming and are to go into C++. But isnt it better to have know C before learning C++. I suppose I can do some research on my own and get some more understanding before the module starts. what do you think?

In my opinion, I wish I would have learned C++ first (or any object-oriented language). Learning C first gives you a programming style out of the 1970-80's. Yes, you can learn object-oriented programming after learning something else, but it's much easier, in my opinion, to learn OOP first.

OR, learn a simplified version of C like CC5X. That's what I'm currently doing. It's easy, and it'll give you some experience with C like languages. I reckon it's better than jumping off the deep end.

well i beleive that C is nothing got to do with C++ learning .
at the basic level u will find both of them are same (if u r working on a turbo c/c++ complier). only little differences in syntax.....
but if u get used to c++ notation u will find c notations a bit uncomfortable as u will have to be more explicit in usiing them.

even then it doesnt make a very huge significant difference though.
the main concept is to get familiar with the programing methodology which will be similar in all and u can only master it by experience
