Hi
I wanted to learn java, yes i am going to learn java, VB and soon C++ all at the same time.

i was wondering if you guys could start me up by telling me what SDK do i need to download. i went to the Sun website and i found
SDK v1.4.2 and V 5.0, duh i am totally confused

i just installed SDK v1.4.2 and got netbeans IDE 3.6
is that the IDE i would get

i was expecting a java IDE and a netbeans IDE

not that i know what netbeans is!

i think i got the correct IDE, now i got to learn how to use it
i came across references to netbeans 4.0,

do you know wherei can get that from (which package from sun)?

netbeans.org should have NetBeans v4.0

And personally, I like Java SDK v1.5.0, it has a lot of advanced features that Java has been aching for, and are now implemented. So, I'd go for that, but it's up to you.
