I have a final project coming up where I can choose to program anything I want in any language I choose, but the outcome has to show 4 solid weeks of work. I'm still tossing around ideas, but I've always wanted to do an online game of some type using PHP/MySQL along with some simple Java graphics. Something like Runescape (www.runescape.com), but much, much simpler and a different style of gameplay. I know PHP and MySQL relatively well, but I know nothing about Java graphics. Does anyone have any experience with Java 2D or 3D graphics? If so, how hard would it be to become familiarized with the code involved with that, and could I learn/do something cool within a 4 week time span?
