Default I'm learning Javascript

I've just started to learn JavaScript, it's about time, I have been meaning to for a while. I'm using a website, which contains tutorials on how to code in JavaScript. At the moment I'm finding it easy to implement the basic commands, however I'm finding it difficult to remember the more complex commands.

The way I have been trying to learn these complex commands is by practicing writing out scripts in notepad.

If anyone has any advice on learning JavaScript or has any websites that they think would be useful then I would greatly appreciate their help.

By the way I'm using pageresource at the moment.

Thanks,

Retro

I learned Javascript from looking at scripts from www.dynamicdrive.com and a book - Teach Yourself JavaScript in 24 Hours (Michael Moncur). (By the way, it takes a lot longer than 24 hours, but it's still a pretty good book. ) I haven't programmed in Javascript for at least a year because I just don't really have a need for it, but it can be very handy. I would say the best way to learn it is just to look at other scripts. Try these sites for free scripts:
www.dynamicdrive.com
www.planet-source-code.com
http://javascript.internet.com
www.javascriptcity.com

Thanks,

I'm thinking about getting a JavaScript book. I'm going to go to my local book shop and see what they have. They have a pretty large selection if I remember correctly, and now my exams have finished I can really start and learn something useful. What I did in IT (information tech) really was just revision and now I want to learn something in preparation for college where I'm doing computing.
