Default how to create a simple forum

hey guys just messing around and want to create a simple free forum can anyone help me out with links ect? i have no knowledge of how to do a forum is it really easy or what please help me out

bbPress is easy to set up but doesn't have much in the way of features and looks weird.
I used to be ona Simple Machine forum a year or two ago. It was decent.

It is difficult to give you a tutorial on making forums. If there was, then everyone would do it easily and forums like vBulletin and IPB wouldn't succeed.

You should know PHP and mysql really well, as well as photoshop for graphics and xhtml for basic coding. Try to follow how other forum softwares work and you'll be able to create a forum.

Creating a forum is a huge task...not one for the faint of heart. There are some free web based ones (I think)...google something like collaboration tools.
