| help what is the purpose of using basic code, or c++, i would like to learn this stuf but i have no idea what u use it for, that pretty dumb but its true. if i do decide to learn a type of coding what one do u suggest i learn first, and is there a website where i can learn it for free?

| Re: help You can use C++ (and equivalents) to make games, applications...basically anything outside of the web can be made with these languages.

sorry the first word in that is D.I.C.K no periods though do ya get it? lol its just a guys name.
have fun and start scripting.
start off by making a folder in your my documents and call it Python
now save all your Python code that you do in Notepad to this folder. but when you save it add the .py extention on the end of it.
now do you know how to change directories in windows Comand line? if no ill explain.

| Re: help thanks for the links, im downloading the stuff at the first link now, it will take about 40 mins because i have dial up, i'll edit this when its done.
Edit:i installed the python stuff and im reading the tutorial as i go. so far iv got the hang of it and there's nothing i don't understand. thanks for all of your help. once i get some more advanced stuff down i'll make another thread.
