Default exploiting the WoW engine

Hey guys,
I was wondering if someone knows of anyguidelines about the eninge World of warcraft is running on, I've been searching the internet for thoses infos, but it seems no one knows the core of it.

What I'd like to do is mess with skills rules, models, maps and such, more than exp rate and other things.
Is it all in the mpq? if that's the case, how far will an mpq editor get me?

Thing is, I wanted to use the system to experiment a little about it.
Let's say for example I wanted to make a game with the power rangers.
Is it all the mpq that I'd need to change if I'd like to make a skills to transform into the megazord and all? Make a map of let's say, New york City and import it into the engine and such. (I know, the example was silly, but do you get where I'm heading? )

I would suggest not doing that. Even if you were to alter these, the servers hold the real data. If you want to play with messed up skills and whatnot, you have to use a private server.

Skills are server side. Environment and models are client side. Good luck.
