Default In-Depth Programming Books (e-books) and/or Tutorials?

Here lately I've become very interested in programming. I don't know the least bit about programming, except for the well-known "Hello World!" app. Are there any in-depth, hands-on books/video tutorials on the net or for download that I can learn? I would go to college for it but unfortunately I'm not financially blessed.

starting with the c programing. sams teach urself C in 21 days will give basic foundation to work on C and will help u to get used to the enviornment.

thereafter it depends on u to create problems and write psedocode for that.
but for getting along the basics SAMS is good enough
[snipped]

u will find **** lot of ebooks

well its hard to find videos in this case... u might fetch some presentation or stuffs like that but they wont help u as much as the book does.

besides , the videos will not start from the scratch , u must have a basic foundation of the language.
i suggest u complete the book & start creating problems on ur own or u might fetch some on net ..

Are there any source codes out there that already produces a program that I am able to edit and mess with? Like to add or subtract from?

Cool Re: In-Depth Programming Books (e-books) and/or Tutorials?

first get along with the basic buddy .... if u have just started learning now then there is loads more to do.at least until u have reached till data file handling.....
then go on for modifying others code.. i am sure u would find enough for urself when u reach that level.....
