Are there any programmers for bioinformatics in here?
If you are, can you tell me how you got started?

I'm not a bioinformatics major, but I have a close friend who is. Basically she started out as a bio major, and with me being a comp sci major, I convinced her to take a basic programming class. She found it very interesting and decided to switch majors. I guess if you like biology and programming, bioinformatics is for you.
