HTML isn't really a programming languages. While the zealots may crucify me for saying this, all languages most people use (except LISP or Prolog) are called "imperative" languages, and thus are pretty much the same.
Sure, C++, C, Java, BASIC, Pascal, etc. are all different, but if you can't get the hang of one of them, you aren't going to get the hang of any of them.
Stick with it.
