Default Any real experts around here? :)

Hi, i need some help.

I studied c++ at school and i really really loved it (weird, eh?). I only studied it for an year and although i believe that i have some basic knowledge i am aware of the fact that i need to improve. I was good at it, you know (an olympic and everything) and i just want for someone to give me some advices regarding what to do next. The last thing i studied was matrixes (i think that's how you call them in english) and i was supposed to begin studying backtracking next year. So, that's where i left of.

Help? Maybe some books (free ebooks if possible, i have no income besides my parents).

Thank you very much! And please take the time to answer!

If you have not done GUI programming in C++, you might want to try it.

Write little programs for yourself. Try and think of problems, then write a solution for them. That will help increase your knowledge of the language.
As for books:

try to solve a problem of your own, such as building your own version of _______.. not too complex, make it something you can finish in a month.. and make it a relatively big project that'll stretch yourself.. you'll thank yourself in the end
