Default Time to OC my i7 920

Hello all!!! (Slaymate!) I have come to the conclusion that I wish to OC my rig. I bought this thing back in August and it has been awesome! I'm wanting to go for 24/7 use like around 3.2 to 3.4 on air which I'm sure I can do with my set up (In my Sig). I have done some minor reading and youtube watching but it still is a little fuzzy to me on what needs to be done. All help is much appreciated! Let me know if I need to post any screens shots before I begin the OC! Thanks!

His sig is white so you must be using the light theme.

You should be able to do 3.2 to 3.4 without any voltage adjustments. If it is not prime stable a very small vcore bump should get you there.

Thanks guys... I'm busy today (**** girlfriends!) but I'll check my bios this evening and post that checklist Slaymate! I have one filled out from the last time you helped me with some crashing issues but it has run stable now for 2 months! What programs would you guys recommend I get for testing? I already have EVGA E-Leet that came with the MB and also CPUID HWMonitor.

Yeah, with 3.2-3.4 all you really need to do is set the bclk to 161 and RAM 2:10 and you should be good to go.

To hit the OC you want just change "CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) (133)" to 161. and "Memory Frequency (1600mhz/2:12)" to 2:10. You could also probably lower the voltage to like 1.2 or lower.

I'm off to work, I'll look it over this afternoon. Til then you should try Nubbleet's suggestion. Run LinX to test stability and post a screenshot of your idle and load temperatures

Have you adjusted anything yet? I would like to see a HWMonitor screenshot showing your volts and temps, as they presently are, before we change anything.
