Default Thermaltake Dragon Orb

Anyone know of a way to quiet this thing down?
It cools the CPU like a Motha! but noisy as ****.
its running at 6300 RPMs and keeping the CPU @ about 33 C.
my older fan kept it @ 45 C. and was running @ 2500 RPMs.
Do I just need to install something to slow the fan speed down
a bit? I dont imagine a squirt of WD40 will work lol.
Any help would be great.

I think its the Tt fan motor that is making the extremely loud Humming noise. But Im going to get both of these items and see if I cant tone it down to a minimal. Right now its sounds like a vacume cleaner. Thanks for the replys,

maybe they messed it up =/ but most likely it's just how loud it is.. i have a volcano 12, and it can get fairly loud, best option would be the fan controller, iono how well those pads word.

well i jsut saw the RPM's. I didn't really look at it lol. Its 6300 RPM's. Thats A LOT. My Old CPU fan had 6100 RPM's and it was loud. I said the same thing. It sounds like a blow dryer. Its the fan speed. You can get a fan controller to ajust it with but then the CPU temp would go higher. But i guess as long as it keeps stable you dont gotta worry about it. So i mean its just the fan. You can get that sound absorber if u want and see if that helps but i dunno. But the fan controller i think is ur best bet...

If you want a FREE way to solve that problem.

Download SpeedFan http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

It will let you control the fan speed on your CPU along with the speeds of your case fans.
