Yeah. But like what I said, you would need to overclock your CPU a lot more and you probably will need better cooling because the lowest 30k i seen was with a 4.5GHz i7 920 + 2x 4890 (950/1075) which got a score of 30018.

Considering that Burninator already has hit 4.2ghz on his i7 920, all he'd really need is the right temperatures outside and another HD 4890 (and some OC'ing skill, which I'm sure he probably has a lot of).

Ya. What vern said, lol. I haven't really pushed the CPU at all really. I just got to 4.2 and stopped, lol. I'm hoping for 4.5ghz+ bench-able, but that may not happen.

Sadly the motherboard is more of the factor in overclocking than the chip is. I have had mine as high as 4.5 but it was in no way stable.

When I had the Phase hooked up I was 100% stable at 4.6GHz, above that up to around 4.8GHz it was somewhat stable with the occasional BSOD. Once I got beyond that it was a race to capture a screenshot.

For a High OC try adjusting your pci-e bus from 106-110 for stability.

And you may need to loosen your memory speeds/timings. Just because your memory is DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 and it runs at those speeds at 4.2GHz, that doesn't mean it will still run at those speeds once you get up to 4.4GHz. I didn't buy DDR3 2000 to run at 2000MHz, I bought it so I could still run at DDR3 1600 or higher while overclocking
