Default ram settings?

I currently have a gigabyte p35 ds3l motherboard, a e8400 running at 3.6ghz (400 x 9) and a kingston hyperx 2gb ram ddr2 1066. What setting for my ram would yield the best performance for my system?

You can set it to a 1:1 ratio(2.00 on your motherboard) with the FSB, with 4-4-4-12-2T timings, and 2.2V.

would it be not wise to run the ram at the intended 1066mhz?

you can run it lower w/ tighter timings or high w/ loose timings. The difference is negligible
