quick oc question

so i have an ASUS P5NSLI motherboard ive tried to see what people think about its oc ability but cant find many reviews on it..anyone know much about this bored? i tried oc already and had a friend that knows a lot about it help me out but i cant oc the cpu very much 2.01GHz is the highest it will go being stable

Your memory may be holding you back. Change the divider.

You may be saying that now but if he gets his cpu a little past x6800 specs youll take that back. Lol

ha yea i know my cpu is a huge bottle neck right now specially with the 8800gtx....thats why i was wonderin about over clocking but i didnt think ram would be holding me back? especially the platinum series...im workin on getting the E6600 but intill then i was seein what i could get outa this one...

Did you do a bios upgrade? People seem to have issues with alot of bios options that are fixed with a bios upgrade.

yea sorry forgot to say, that i have latest drivers and bios, that was the first thing ive checked...people say this bored isnt very ocable but if u go into the bios for it, its got tons of options and even a profile saver so it has to have some decent capabilities.

ha yea, i didnt think it was but i was just able to oc it from 1.86 to 2.05 and i seen a 10 fps increase in 3dmark
