Does anyone know how to rig a psu so it will stay on without a motherboard? Please reply asap

You need a device called a "switch". It short circuits your PSU and allows you to run it without being plugged into the mobo. last time i checked you could get one for ~$15. www.google.com "PSU switch" and see what you find.

I read on the internet there was a way you could hotwire you psu by touching two of the pin on the main motherboard power cable together anyone else heard of this?

that's whta the switch does. you could do it yourself i guess...but you'll have to find out on your own which 2 wires to short and how to keep the PSU on while not holding w/e u use to short it out in your hands. maybe tape or something...not really sure.
